Our team is here for you…

Kaila Duke(She/Her), MS, LMFT

THERAPIST

“As a clinician, I believe relationships are what bring meaning to our lives and shape us as people. As a marriage and family therapist, I work with the couple, family, or individual to recognize and deepen meaningful connections and relationships while increasing awareness of potentially harmful thoughts or behavior patterns in effort to gain insight into things within our control. This approach provides my clients a solid foundation to continue self-learning and progression.

The therapeutic process should be collaborative and led by the client. I work with clients to create a treatment plan tailored to their identified needs and circumstances to encourage self-discovery and growth.

I believe that treating the ‘whole person’ is important in my work with clients and as such, believe that faith and spirituality play a key role in fostering growth and development. Personal growth is grounded or informed in and by the person’s personal beliefs and values”.

Rachel Junker(She/Her)LMHC, Certified Therapeutic Art Coach

I believe that everyone starts somewhere and that the hardest step is often the first. As a clinician, I make it my mission to make that first step not so scary and show that therapy can have a life changing impact and can be fun if you are willing to do it. It is never too early or too late to get help, and I believe that each person has their own strengths. I center my approach on the client, finding ways to specially tailor each experience to each individual to find a path to achieving goals. I also love incorporating art into my therapy because it helps express who we are and help guide us in our life’s journey. It’s always a joy to work with my clients and see their progress develop through their creative path.

Amalia Monreal(She/Her) LICSW

I strive to create a safe space for individuals to heal themselves holistically, because healing involves the whole person: mind, body, and spirit.

I have 25 years' experience working with people of color and indigenous populations who are trauma survivors. Most of my clients have survived childhood physical and sexual abuse, domestic violence, victimization, substance misuse, and abuse, and other deep soul wounds including intergenerational trauma.

My work with clients is characterized by a helping relationship, that is based on collaboration, mutual respect, and the sharing of power. This kind of a relationship actively involves the client in the change process.

Working together we will explore strategies to reclaim your personal power and control. When we increase our power and control, we influence the improvement of our circumstances and our own healing.

I bring ‘lived experience’ and leverage such experiences in combination with indigenous practices based on teachings from Elders and Contemporary therapies such as trauma-informed therapies, including post-traumatic growth, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy, and Family Therapy.

Krista Silva (she/her)

MSW, LMHC, CMHS

As a clinician, I believe that clients are the experts of their own lives, and treatment is a collaborative process led by the client with guidance from the clinician. Anna Johnson, MPC, LMHC

As a single mom, mental health professional, and disabled individual, I know how difficult the world and life can be and how hard it can be to ask for help. I see counseling as coming beside a person and assisting them to best help themselves. Counseling should be a partnership where the client is open, determined, and willing to work and the clinician, in collaboration with them, directs the ship and supports them with the tools they need to heal.

“You will teach them to fly, but they will not fly your flight. You will teach them to dream but they will not dream your dream. You will teach them to live but they will not live your life. Nevertheless, and every flight, in every life, in every dream, the print of the way you taught them will always remain.”

JESSICA,SHE/HER,LMFTA

You’re welcome here. Welcome to exist as you are without expectations, pressure, and shame. I believe that healing, change, and any sort of soul-deep evolution involves a relationship in which another human sees you for the wonder that you are, meeting you with warmth and unconditional positive regard. Together, we will work to build new understandings of self, challenge core beliefs, map out persistent patterns and cycles, implement new stories, and establish new ways of doing life authentically. I believe in the power of connection and its position in our wellbeing. I seek to elevate your ability to have closeness with others and enrich feelings of safety, confidence, and empathy.

With couples, I blend Gottman’s research along with attachment science to create an experiential space where both partners can express what they need to, while finding ways to enrich and enhance the relationship on various levels. It is my ultimate goal to provide as safe and caring space as possible for people who experience symptoms of C-PTSD, those who have been outcast, discriminated against, and misunderstood.

I align myself with strengths-based, person-centered theories such as Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and always rely on a foundation of attachment science. I also leave room for silliness, strangeness, and enjoy incorporating creative/artistic methods in session. I gladly work with couples and 13+ individuals at this time!

Congratulations for taking the first step towards helping yourself! Psychotherapy is a collaborative process and I define my job as meeting you where you are, identifying where you might be stuck, and helping you to move towards your goals. Each person is unique, and treatment needs to be tailored to meet your goals. Effective treatment helps a person to adapt to change, manage stress and to be more effective in their lives and relationships.

I am specialized in working with adults who have experienced traumatic events, anxiety, and depression. In addition, I have expertise in helping individuals move through significant life changes (i.e. divorce, job/career transition, loss).

My therapeutic philosophy has been informed by developmental psychology, cultural psychology, gender studies, empirically validated and lived perspectives. I have an affinity for mindful based approaches which focus on accepting challenging situations and identifying your values to engage in effective actions.

Nicki King (She/Her), MA, LMFTA

“Communication is to realtionship what breathing is to living..” -Virginia Satir

I chose to become a marriage and family therapist because I truly believe in the importance and vital necessity of relationships and human connection. There is immeasurable value in healing past traumas, creating healthy boundaries for ourselves, and developing communication skills that allow our relationships to grow and flourish, which bring meaning, depth, and happiness to our lives. Being a systemic therapist means zooming out and acknowledging how we are all impacted by how we show up in the world and how we, in turn, impact those spaces. It allows me to zoom in and help clients see how they are impacted by their lived experiences and relationships, and in return, how they impact those around them.

As a clinician, I center my work around equity, inclusion, and client empowerment. I collaboratively work with the individual, couple, or family system to find healing, create meaningful change, and to cultivate deeper connections. I like to consider myself a co- constructor, who walks along side my clients, meeting them where they’re at and trusting that they know themselves better than anybody else. Together, we work to uncover what brings happiness and meaning to their life and how to decrease harmful or unhealthy behaviors, while increasing behaviors that positively impact their mental health and wellbeing. Outside of my professional life I am a coffe-enthusiast, animal lover, and avid reader. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and playing outdoors with my giant Husky, Lola. I am passionate about creating a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients through utilizing mindfulness, empathy, and validation. It is such an amazing honor to join with my clients as they experience growth on their journey of healing.
