Licensed Therapists & Licensed Associate Therapists

To meet the growing mental health needs of our community, Ignite: A Path to Wellness is expanding both our clinical team and physical space. We are seeking trauma-informed mental health therapists who are passionate about meaningful clinical work and community impact to join our collaborative and mission-driven practice.

Ignite is located in the heart of downtown Tacoma on Broadway and has recently expanded from a four-office suite to a newly renovated 20+ office clinical space. This position is ideal for clinicians who are ready to transition from agency work into a supportive private-practice model without the administrative burden.

About Ignite

Ignite clinicians are W-2 employees who work in a professional, supportive, and collaborative environment while serving a diverse and engaged client population throughout the Tacoma area. Our model is designed to support both clients and clinicians by removing common barriers to private practice, allowing therapists to focus on high-quality clinical care.

We handle the non-clinical operations—including credentialing, billing, marketing, and administrative infrastructure—while offering competitive, tiered compensation based on licensure, experience, certifications, and specializations.

Internship Opportunities

Ignite: A Path to Wellness is also accepting applications for unpaid clinical internship positions for graduate students pursuing degrees in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy. This is a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience in a supportive, trauma-informed private practice setting.

In-person and telehealth opportunities available from our Tacoma office, with a minimum of one day per week available for in-person sessions. All interns must physically reside or have a workspace to conduct supervision and sessions in Washington State during the internship. Our program is 12 months, and covers practicum and internships.

About the Internship:

  • Weekly supervision provided on-site by experienced, licensed clinicians.

  • Opportunity to work with diverse populations and presenting concerns.

  • Access to training, team consultation, and administrative support.

  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet academic program requirements.

Interns Will Gain Experience In:

  • Conducting intake assessments and developing treatment plans

  • Providing individual, couples, and/or group counseling

  • Documenting clinical work and maintaining ethical standards

  • Working within a collaborative and strengths-based clinical team

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in a master’s program in counseling, social work, or related field

  • Internship must be for academic credit and part of an accredited program

  • Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a desire to learn

  • Ability to commute to our office or reside within Washington State
