🗓️ When

Our SEL group runs weekly and follows a structured, predictable routine to help kids feel safe and confident.

(You can add exact dates/times here once you have them.)

📍 Where

Held at Ignite Pathways Counseling (or your location), in a warm, play-centered therapy room designed for learning through movement, creativity, and connection.
The environment is sensory-friendly, calm, and intentionally set up for kids to explore emotions through art, play, and body-based activities.

💲 Cost

Pricing is based per cycle (ex: 6–8 weeks) and includes:

  • Weekly group sessions

  • All art/play materials

  • Parent updates or check-ins

  • A closing progress summary
    ($40 per session)

👦👧 Who Is This Group For

This group is ideal for children who:

  • Struggle to manage big emotions

  • Get frustrated easily or shut down

  • Benefit from structured social practice

  • Need support navigating peer conflict

  • Want to build confidence, resilience, and communication skills

  • Thrive with hands-on activities like drawing, movement, games, and pretend play

Perfect for kids who may not succeed with talk-heavy groups and learn better through doing, moving, and expressing.

🎨 What to Expect

Each session blends art, play, and body movement to help children learn emotional skills in ways that feel natural and fun. Kids will practice:

  • Naming and understanding emotions

  • Building frustration tolerance

  • Using coping strategies during tough moments

  • Resolving conflict with peers

  • Taking turns, sharing space, and communicating needs

  • Making and maintaining friendships

  • Trying new activities in a supportive, low-pressure setting

Every activity is designed to strengthen social-emotional skills through experiential learning, not lectures. Sessions may include story-based play, role-playing, collaborative games, painting, sensory activities, yoga-inspired movement, and creative problem-solving.

Parents can expect periodic updates about themes, skills practiced, and ways to support carryover at home.

Unbroken: A Space for the Chronically Ill and Disabled Group

Living with chronic illness or disability often means navigating a world that wasn’t built with you in mind, one that can leave you feeling unseen, disconnected, or at odds with your own body. Unbroken was created as a space to reclaim that connection.

This bi-weekly online group offers a supported, trauma-informed environment for those seeking rest, resonance, and belonging within community. Together, we’ll explore:

Fostering connection in a supported, understanding container, a place to be witnessed without needing to explain or minimize your experience.
Nurturing vulnerability, radical acceptance, and self-resonance, honoring your body’s truth and building compassion for the full spectrum of what it means to live within it.
Restoring belonging, not just with your body, but with the greater body of the world: nature, community, and the rhythms that remind us we are part of something whole.
Drawing from disability justice movements, cultivating empowerment, collective resilience, and liberation from internalized ableism and isolation.

🕓 When: Bi-weekly on Tuesdays from 4–5pm
📅 Dates: October 21st, November 4th, November 18th, and December 2nd
💻 Where: Online (accessible from anywhere in Washington)
💰 Cost: $40 private pay per session or covered by most insurance

Facilitated by Sarafina Landis, LMHCA at Ignite Pathways Therapy, this group is grounded in compassion, inclusivity, and the understanding that healing doesn’t mean becoming “fixed” it means remembering that you were never broken to begin with.
