Internship Opportunities
Ignite: A Path to Wellness is also accepting applications for unpaid clinical internship positions for graduate students pursuing degrees in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy. This is a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience in a supportive, trauma-informed private practice setting.
In-person and telehealth opportunities available from our Tacoma office, with a minimum of one day per week available for in-person sessions. All interns must physically reside or have a workspace to conduct supervision and sessions in Washington State during the internship. Our program is 12 months, and covers practicum and internships.
About the Internship:
Weekly supervision provided on-site by experienced, licensed clinicians.
Opportunity to work with diverse populations and presenting concerns.
Access to training, team consultation, and administrative support.
Flexibility in scheduling to meet academic program requirements.
Interns Will Gain Experience In:
Conducting intake assessments and developing treatment plans
Providing individual, couples, and/or group counseling
Documenting clinical work and maintaining ethical standards
Working within a collaborative and strengths-based clinical team
Qualifications:
Current enrollment in a master’s program in counseling, social work, or related field
Internship must be for academic credit and part of an accredited program
Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a desire to learn
Ability to commute to our office or reside within Washington State
